Still can't kill the DIWALI in NM. The thing has taken hold like a fever; an epedemic that simply won't let go. Now that the hype for the original "Get Busy" has somewhat subsided, the wicked hip-hop remix featuring Crooklyn Clan & Fatman Scoop storms the top. Utilizing the DIWALI and the BUZZ beats, the thing just has an irresistable, hardcore urban flava. The Wayne Wonder remix has dropped down to the # 3 spot. Scorching this month is New Life's re-make of the HOT MILK riddim, scoring a number of times in the form of the Beenie Man/Barrington combo, a sweet ganja tune from Mr. Carlton Livingston "100 Weight Of Collieweed" and Flourgon's "Health & Strength".

The BAGHDAD/SNAKE riddim is still represented by Capleton, Wayne Marshall & Queen Paula, while 2 of the hottest traxxx on Don Corleone's/Blaxxx' EGYPTIAN beat by Vybez Cartel & Sean Paul continue to hold tight. The hottest new thing tearin up the dancefloors at this time HAS TO BE Scatta's COOLIE DANCE. A light east-Indian flavor over an incredibly danceable beat and voila: yet another Jamaican dance-crasher. This time Elephant Man & TOK managed to make it, yet I predict more greatness from this production in the near future.

Also brand-new at #15 is Predator's current #1 in Jamaica "Nah No Head" on Don Corleon's GOOD TO GO. He licks off heavy lyrics like "President Bush him nah no head, him waan start world war fi mek everybody dead." Rounding things out on the hardcore-tip is Elephant Man's "Pon Di River", which everybody seems to know all of a sudden, due to the heavy rotation of the video.

On the rootical front Sanchez' "World Peace" has risen to #8, while "Frenzy" managed to re-enter once again. On the former tune Sanchez hits us with some serious thoughts like :"UN talk to America, invite Kim Jong from Korea, unite Saddam, Bush and world-leaders and draw Bin Ladin outta him corner."
Freddy Mc Gregor on Joe Frasier's FRENZY riddim closes things out with "In The Mix" this time.

Blessings into fall now:
