After 2 months at our #1 spot, Cham’s “Ghetto Story” has been overtaken by Sean Paul’s hype “Zone” on Renaissance’s ICE BREAKER. Further entries on Delano’s piece-a-riddim also chart this time around (Red Square & Assassin). On the 85 riddim other tracks moved in & up again (Pinchers, Yellowman, Assassin again) but I still believe that the vibes is more or less on its way out now.

A fat, new dancehall riddim called REDBULL&GUINNESS (courtesy of Delly Ranks) is on the move and it includes fantastic tunes by upcomer Movado, who is HUGE in Jamaica right now, the best Norrisman in many many years, and the title track by Delly and Freddy McGregor’s son Chino. Sean Paul teamed up with Nina Sky on the massive CONNECTION and I’m actually quite surprised that this one hasn’t seen some crossover success. A grrreat party track that should be bouncin’ up & down the KISS fm’s of this world. Will they EVER learn?

Upcoming artist Marco Bran finally charts on the TEXAS RANGER riddim and this is a very sad story, as Marco passed on due to a heart-attack earlier this year at age 26 (!!!). We have been featuring his music @ Reggae Runnins for over a year now and as soon as the first 7” single reached our hands, it charted. Condolences to friends & family from the entire BROTHERHOOD crew in New Mexico & beyond ! Big Yard’s WILD 2NITE riddim is still here, due to the controversial Black-Er/Macka Diamond tune, as is In Time’s JUMP OFF, and Legend’s GALORE.

On the rootical scene, Gyptian still is the man of the moment. His heartical “Mama” is still clinging to the #3 spot, while his “Beautiful Lady” on Vertex just entered. Mr.Vegas’ “Do You Know” has dropped to #14 and TOK’s “Marijuana” to #19. Don Corleon has released the fantastic new roots riddim HEAVENLY, which is more than a worthy follow-up to his SEASONS and DROP LEAF. I expect to see it here soon.

Bless;
